We’ve achieved our aim, says Amuneke

Nigeria U17 coach Emmanuel Amuneke is delighted that his boys will be defending their world title in at the 2015 Fifa U17 World Cup in Chile.

A brace from Victor Osimhen and strike from captain fantastic ensured the Golden Eaglets beat Zambia 3-1 in their last Group A game to book a place in the last four of the competition having survived a scare from the Guinea cadet team in their second game.
“We thank God for this moment and for this occasion,” Amuneke said in a post match conference.
“The most important thing for us was to go to Chile and I'm happy that we have achieved that objective.
“We played against a very good side which has very good players and our players had to be cautious to play a game we wanted and at the end of it we achieved what we came here for.
“We're blessed to be one of the teams representing Africa in Chile and we will hope we continue to do well even when we get there.”
With this victory, Nigeria U17 ended Group A as winners and will have to wait till Sunday to know their semi final opponent.
