The price of Kerosene in Nigeria has been reduced to N50 per litre, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation
(NNPC) said fews ago.
The announcement was made via a statement released by the Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division, of NNPC, Ohi Alegbe on Sunday, January 18.
The
reduction is part of a scheme, Kero Correct’ initiative, devised by the
corporation which will eliminate several layers of middlemen and allow
the end users benefit from the subsidy on Kerosene.
The Federal Government has also announced the reduction of fuel price in the country to N87 from an earlier price of N97.
But, is the NNPC mega filling station and its affiliates adhering to this change in price? For they had been a lot of queue at every mega stations but few in others. When will this change in price take effect in other filling stations? For the masses are complaining for lost of properties and lives over struggling to get kerosene even if the limit volume if 25L.
